  • About This Project

LaGuardia’s First-Year Seminar (FYS) helps students transition into college through a credit-bearing course in their major. Taught by faculty and supported by Student Success Mentors, FYS builds academic skills, community, and confidence. Students begin their ePortfolio in FYS and continue them through the curriculum. Several interviewees reference the OER First Year Seminar book. That publication is available here.
