About
Dr. Clarence Chan is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 30 years of clinical experience. His areas of practice include acute care, geriatric, movement science, and health & wellness promotion. As a life-long learner, he has earned a certification as a lymphedema specialist and a martial arts instructor. His diverse background enables him to provide dynamic, innovative, and effective rehabilitative care to a wide range of patient population in our community. He also shares the same level of diligent, dedication, and clinical expertise with his students and colleagues at LaGuardia. Began teaching in 2001, Dr. Chan is currently a professor and the director of the physical therapist assistant program. In addition to teaching in the physical therapy program, his academic journey embodies faculty leadership and mentorship in teaching and learning. He firmly believes treating, training, and teaching, patients, clients, and students, are one and the same. He dedicates his energy and passion in healthcare and education to help individuals achieve their maximum potential and develop the commitment to life-long learning.
